Hi, Iām Catherine Owen
Supervised by Courtney Brabant, LPC,
I am a Graduate Counseling Intern with a background in education, community health, and wellness. I work collaboratively with teens and adults to better understand the experiences, relationships, and patterns affecting their lives while building practical strategies for meaningful change.
My approach is trauma-informed and strengths-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), positive psychology, attachment, developmental, and psychodynamic perspectives. I am especially interested in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, grief and loss, trauma-related concerns, relationship challenges, life transitions, and sports-related anxiety.
My Approach
Practical Skills
Helping clients recognize existing strengths, build confidence, and develop realistic strategies for growth and lasting positive change.
Thoughtful Exploration
Using CBT and other evidence-informed strategies to help clients develop coping skills, manage difficult emotions, and navigate everyday challenges.
Strengths-Based Growth
Exploring how experiences, relationships, attachment, and different stages of life may influence current thoughts, emotions, and patterns.
